Michael Mugoovi grew up in Uvira, South-Kivu Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He attended Timothy Training Institute in Uvira, D.R. Congo where he received a Diploma in Theology, a degree in Leadership.

Before college, Michael was one of the founder of the nonprofit organization known as Evangelical Mission for All ( French: Mission Evangelique pour Tous). The Evangelical Mission for All was heavily involved in people’s salvation pointing people to the Lord Jesus Christ, and supporting needy families including widows and orphans.
Michael served as Legal Representative for six years until he fled the country in 2006. The Evangelical Mission for All expanded in the whole province of South-Kivu till now. In addition, Michael owned a small mineral business of gold and coltan known as Le Mugoovi’s since 1998 to 2006. This was the cause for Michael to run away from his country of origin.
In 2009, Michael as a refugee at Dzaleka Refugee Camp, in Malawi (Africa), worked as a French, Swahili, Kifuliru, Chichewa and English interpreter and a teacher at Umodzi Katubza Primary School.
Michael currently serves as Leading Pastor of the Indianapolis Christian Tabernacle (ICT), a Christian church that believes that the Lord God, Jesus Christ is interested in human race and uses us as His agent to reach out to our neighbors with a message of love, peace, forgiveness and unity, and welcomes people of all backgrounds.
